The LCMS National Housing Support Corporation (Lutheran Housing Support) builds on a rich history of affordable housing work by providing supporting services to LCMS organizations and their partners that aim to carry out housing- and community development-related works of mercy in their communities. Our vision is for restored and revitalized neighborhoods that are anchored by LCMS congregations actively engaged in collaborative mercy. To bring that vision into reality, our mission is to provide access to capital and customized consulting services for under-served neighborhoods in order to transform them into thriving communities. In the last six years alone, we have raised and provided more than $4.7 million in support and administrative services to LCMS congregations and other partners engaged in works of mercy in their communities.

The corporation’s services are determined by each partner and the needs of the communities that we serve. Supported community and economic development activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Community organizing
  • Financial literacy education
  • Homeownership education and counseling
  • Housing development and rehabilitation
  • Economic development
  • Housing relief for disaster stricken areas

We offered a wide variety of services and programs to aid organizations seeking to create real change in their communities. To learn more about these services, please click on the links below:
